This sketchbook was hand done and designed in response to my study abroad experience in Italy. I constructed the book entirely by hand—folding, stitching, and binding. The imagery is informed by my visit to the Venice Biennale and reflects the scale and density of the international art community present there. The design of this sketchbook is bitmapped to reference memory rather than documentation, emphasizing the way such a unique experience is recalled through fragments, impressions, and visual degradation over time.
