The Quilt Index is an open-access digital archive preserving thousands of quilts and the stories of their makers from collections around the world. While its original logo did little to convey the tactile richness of fiber arts, our redesign abstracts the letter “Q” into a quilt-inspired pattern, paired with the archive’s name. The new identity translates the layered, modular nature of quilting into a contemporary digital brand, making the archive both visually engaging and conceptually resonant.
